Best International are proud to be supporting the Hospice UK throughout 2016. We are therefore pleased to give you an update on our charity activity so far, as well as some exciting, upcoming events we have planned to raise awareness of hospice care this year.
Last year, we baked and sampled the delights of some fabulous cakes in true ‘Bake Off’ style, battled it out in ‘It’s a Knockout’, had an Iron Man performance, jumped out of a plane, took to the River Dee in Chester as the ‘Blazing Paddles’ for some dragon boat action, trialled at being a football manager with the ‘Predict 6’ charity game and donned the Christmas jumpers, all in the name of charity!
This year, two of our own are running a whopping 26-miles throughout London City as they compete in the London Marathon to raise money for Hospice UK. Given the popularity of the event, an impressive 247,069 people entered the ballot this year, the highest on record, with over 38,000 runners expected to appear on the start line for the actual event. Runners get to take in the London sights whilst competing and will finish the exhausting 26-mile lap in St James Park.
Other events include more speciality cake events, another performance from the Blazing Paddles and a head to head between the Best International Group of Companies.
Hospice UK is one of the first charities we have supported collaboratively as a company and we look forward to keeping you posted on all the events we complete throughout the year to raise vital funds for hospice care.
