Best International have been fundraising over the last 12-months for our two chosen charities of 2016: The Hospice UK and Young Epilepsy.
We have hosted charity events such as It’s a Knockout, a charity Sky Dive, Jolly Jumper Day and Dragon Boat Racing to name a few, raising money for our deserving charities. We have managed to raise funds thanks to the support of our loyal clients, suppliers and trusted partners that have kindly contributed over the last couple of years, making this possible.
The team have shown their enthusiasm and commitment to both charities by taking part in various events and challenges to raise vital funds. We have baked and sampled the delights of some fabulous cakes as part of Hospice UK’s ‘Bake Off’ campaign, battled it out in ‘It’s a Knockout’, had an Iron Man performance, jumped out of a plane and taken to the River Dee as the ‘Blazing Paddles’ in a dragon boat race, and we’re looking forward to the challenges this year brings.
Best International celebrated the partnership with the Hospice UK with a fantastic Go Yellow launch event in 2015 and have several activities lined up this year to raise awareness of hospice care.
Hospice UK is one of the first charities we have supported collaboratively as a company. The Hospice is personal and poignant to many of our employees, having helped friends and family members through difficult times. We are therefore delighted to be supporting the charity, as we understand first hand how hospice care plays such an important role in our local communities. We are looking forward to some exciting challenges and enjoyable experiences ahead this year to continue to raise money in support of the Hospice UK.
Young Epilepsy work exclusively with 112,000 children and young people aged 25 and under with epilepsy and associated conditions. The charity strives to improve the lives of children and young people with the condition to enable them to fulfill their potential and ensure they have the best quality of life.
Young Epilepsy comprises of a specialist team of teachers, support workers, learning assistants, consultants, registrars, nurses, psychologists, therapists and more, to make sure that young people living with epilepsy receive first rate education, treatment and support. That’s why it’s so important to help raise funds for this worthy cause. We have several fund raising events coming up this year and look forward to supporting Young Epilepsy.
